FINDER OPTA & ARDUINO PRO
Finder OPTA, first ever PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC RELAY (PLR), is continuing the brands’ history of innovation and quality in switching technologies and represents new, innovative, option for engineers, designers and whoever wishes to add smart logic to a control cabinet. A perfect solution to create simple applications in industrial automation, OEM and building automation.
UNIQUELY POWERFUL, CONNECTED AND EASY TO PROGRAM
OPTA is powered by ST’s new STM32H747XI dual-core Cortex®-M7+M4 MCU which enables it to perform real-time operations as well as predictive maintenance functionalities.
It supports OTA (over the air) firmware updates while ensuring data security from the hardware to the Cloud, thanks to the onboard secure element and X.509 Standard compliance.
Taking advantage of Arduinos widely known, easy-to-use and open platforms, OPTA can be programmed via Arduino IDE, Arduino CLI or the Arduino Web Editor. Additionally, it supports also standard IEC 61131-3 PLC languages such as LADDER, FBD, etc.
Designed with ease of implementation in mind, it leverages Arduino Pro’s vast range of readily available software libraries and sketches for any kind of application, that can dramatically reduce programming times.
New Expansion modules
The OPTA expansion modules were one of the most eagerly awaited product launches at the last year’s SPS industrial automation fair in Nuremburg. Extending the capabilities of the OPTA Programmable Logic Relay’s flexibility, productivity, and versatility by adding more inputs and outputs.
The range comprises of three different models, all of which can be connected via the AUX port:
- EMR digital expansion (16 inputs (Digital / Analog 0-10V) 8 outputs EMR 6 A)
- SSR digital expansion (16 inputs (Digital / Analog 0-10V) 8 outputs SSR 2 A)
- Analog expansion (6 inputs (4 x 0-10V / 4-20mA + 2 x PT100/1000) 6 outputs (2 x 0-10V/4-20mA + 4 PMW)
Up to five modules can be connected to each OPTA, multiplying the inputs (to a maximum of 80 for the digital version and 30 for the analog version) and outputs (up to 40 for the digital version and 30 for the analog version).
Different combinations can also be used, achieving an unparalleled level of project customization.
The expansion will be available from early 2024.
