Slovenian Maintenance Society is a professional, voluntary, independent and non-profit association of professionals working in the field of maintenance. Members, who come from different trades, professions, educational levels and positions, share the awareness that maintenance is one of the key factors contributing to the success of the company.
Slovenian Maintenance Society was founded in 1975, so in the year 2015 we celebrated our 40th anniversary. In 1980, the Slovenian Maintenance Society started issuing the professional journal Vzdrzevalec (The Maintainer), which is, until nowadays, an important source of information for our members.
To its members and business partners, the Slovenian Maintenance Society provides expertise, information and professional interaction, introduces new developments in theory and practice of maintenance and enables presentation of new equipment, tools, machinery, and services in the area of maintenance. Slovenian Maintenance Society is successfully integrated into the EFNMS, the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies, and participates in various international projects.
The most important annual event, organized by the Slovenian Maintenance Society, is the traditional Technical Summit of Slovene Maintainers (Tehniško posvetovanje vzdrževalcev Slovenije, TPVS). This, year, the 25th Technical Summit was organized on October in the beautiful surroundings of the Otočec resort in South-East of Slovenia. The summit was originally intended to share experience and establish business contacts, but has, over the years, grown into an expert summit at which many lectures in the field of maintenance profession are presented together with an accompanying exhibition, where some 70 domestic and foreign companies represent the equipment, machinery, tools, appliances and maintenance services.
