Since 1965, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS, today employing approximately 4,800 people, has been developing, manufacturing, and marketing drive technology and is one of the leading international providers of integrated solutions in this field. In addition to standard drive systems, NORD also offers concepts and solutions tailored to specific requirements, such as energy-efficient drives or explosion-protected systems. Annual revenue for the 2024 financial year exceeded EUR 1.1 billion.
NORD operates 48 subsidiaries in 36 countries and cooperates with additional distribution partners in more than 50 countries. These provide technical consulting, local warehousing, assembly centres, and service support.
NORD develops and produces a wide range of drive solutions for more than 100 industries, including gear units with torque capacities from 10 Nm to over 282 kNm, electric motors from 0.12 to 1000 kW, and power electronics such as frequency inverters up to 160 kW. The inverter solutions are available both for classic control cabinet installation and as decentralised or fully integrated drive units.
At IFAM2026 in Ljubljana, NORD will present customised drive solutions for the packaging industry. The focus will be on decentralised drive electronics, which reduce installation time, save control cabinet space, and lower overall costs, as well as aluminium drive units featuring the NXD tupH® surface treatment. With its modular product system, the company offers flexible drive solutions for diverse requirements, supporting efficient and future-oriented machine design.
